This is a nice little tip I came across. It does state that Quickr 8.5.1 support for Internet Explorer 9 will be coming in the next fix pack which would be FP32. That kind of makes this tip a moot point. For what it's worth, and if you need to get this IE9 functionality right away, here's how you do it:
http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/lqwiki.nsf/dx/HowTo_enable_Quickr__8.5.1_%28HF6%29_for_IE9
A caveat is that if you're running the IBM i operating environment, fix packs for Quickr are usually a few weeks behind the other operating systems. Right now, FP30 is the most recent Quickr fix pack available for IBM i. Based on the frequency of Quickr fix packs I'd anticipate FP32 to be available for IBM i by the end of the year while the other operating systems should have it a few weeks earlier.
Hi Steven,
ReplyDeletethanks a lot for this link. Although currently there´s FP31 already available at IBM Fix Central ( http://www-933.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/swg/selectFixes?parent=ibm~Lotus&product=ibm/Lotus/Lotus+Quickr+for+Domino&release=8.5.1&platform=Windows&function=all )

Thanks Rainer.
ReplyDeleteFP31 is available for Windows, Linux and AIX. IBM i is still at FP30.

Support for IE9 isn't in FP32b, the latest version to be issued.
ReplyDeleteI got this comment from an IBM Support guy today:
"Thank you for the feedback...
IE9 support is not yet available in latest HF...
We also do not have any time frame when this support will be available...!
In the meantime, the procedure in the wiki article worked perfectly for me. I was running Quickr using Internet Sites anyway so there was no other background work to do.
Thanks for the tip.
Best Regards,"
