Great article! At my prior job, we upgraded from an 820 4cpu to an lpar on a 570 with 2cpu for the lpar. Domino agents that used to take 8 minutes to run in the dead of night took less than a minute to run during peak load! Great point about backing up to disk as well.

ReplyDeleteThanks Chris. Virtual tape is very effective, especially if you have a lot of disk to spare. With disk being so cheap nowadays it's very viable.
